What is WUULF?

WUULF (Western Unitarian Universalist Life Festival) is a week-long, multi-generational camp for Unitarian-Universalists occurring each June at the Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. We are a loving community from a diverse set of age groups, backgrounds, and cultures who gather in New Mexico each year to express our appreciation for each other and our world.

WUULF is an event organized by the Mountain Desert Family Festival, a registered 501(c)(3).

When is WUULF?

WUULF will be June 15-21, 2026.

Where is WUULF?

WUULF is held at the Ghost Ranch near Abiquiu, New Mexico. The Ghost Ranch is an education and retreat center, was once home to artist Georgia O’Keeffe, and is over 21,000 acres of breathtaking landscape. Map to the Ghost Ranch

Do I have to be a UU to attend WUULF?

You do not have to be a UU to attend WUULF. We’re a collection of those who are active church members, those who identify as UU but do not attend church, those who were raised in the faith, and those who just like to hang out with UUs.

Does WUULF have a kids/youth program?

Yes! Our multigenerational community includes our children, grandchildren, friends, and niblings. We have programming for school age kids, 5-18. Click here to learn more about the program.

Where can I get one of those awesome WUULF Tshirts?

Tshirts and stickers are available for purchase onsite and online at TeePublic. Money from sales go to our scholarship fund.

What if I can't come for the whole week?

Attending for the whole week is an important aspect of WUULF and in building our community of friends. If you are not able to come for the whole week, please contact a board member to discuss options before you register. We do not encourage "day visitors" to WUULF, but exceptions may be made if you let us know in advance.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

$100 of the registration fee is non-refundable.

Prior to April 1: If cancellation is received prior to April 1, a 100 percent (100%) refund, less the non-refundable fee, will be given.

After April 1: If a cancellation is received on or after April 1, no refunds will be given.

No adjustment is made for late arrival, early departure or dismissal from the retreat.

Can I volunteer with WUULF?

YES! We welcome volunteers on our board and as leaders for our kids/youth programming. Email us at info@wuulf.org to learn more.

Can I donate to WUULF?

Yes! We will be happy to accept your donations. Our tax ID is 84-1344801. Email us at info@wuulf.org for details on how to give.

Does WUULF have scholarships?

We have limited funds available to provide financial assistance scholarships for registration fees and lodging costs to attend WUULF. More information is available on our scholarship page.

What are some activities near the Ghost Ranch?

You'll have time on non-program days, or before/after WUULF, to enjoy sites at the Ranch and in the nearby area. Here's a list of sites we recommend.
