WUULF 2022 Announcement

Dear WUULF Community,

By the time we meet in June, it will have been three years since we last gathered together as a community and a lot has happened in that time. We have welcomed new board members, cancelled not one but two camps, and throughout this whole experience, our board has been hard at work to bring our community back together again. That is why I am so thrilled to announce that WUULF 2022 is full steam ahead!

I want to take a moment to recognize our past board members, Kate Kyanne, Pat Diem, and Elizabeth Simons who have transitioned away from the board since we saw each other last.  They were all vital to our success and worked so hard to make WUULF a beautiful, welcoming group. Thank you so much for all your work.

We have also welcomed new board members: Gary Reser as our marketing director, Cindy Fesgen as our religious education director and Sarah Weed as our program director. I want to give a huge shoutout to our board of directors, including David Wells and Chris Johnson. Even in normal years, it is a huge undertaking to make WUULF happen, but these weren’t normal years and our board has gone above and beyond in so many ways. The amount of time, effort, and heart that has been put into WUULF by each of you is commendable. Thank you.

The theme for this year’s camp is ‘Back to our Roots’ and we need your help to make it a success! The pandemic has challenged WUULF in many ways and we, as a board, have had to really examine how we can best meet the needs of our changing community. We want to invite all of you to join us in re-envisioning WUULF. This year, camp will be community led and community focused. Our daily in-gathering will be led by a different WUULFie each day and we will be running workshops, discussions, and community building activities throughout the week all with the goal of building WUULF back up to be strong, vibrant, and sustainable for years to come.

We will have all of the amazing offerings of years past, including rafting, dancing, deep conversations, hiking and so much more. I cannot wait to have my meals cooked for me, my vacation planned out, my cell phone turned off, and to join together in community again at the breathtaking Ghost Ranch!

WUULF will be held from June 20th -26th and registrations will be open very soon, so please keep your eyes open for another announcement in the coming days.

With love,

Ariel Stokes

2022 WUULF Director
